I'm not a crier...

I'm not a crier.  Don't get me wrong...I'm not cold hearted, but when I cry it's because I'm mad.  But since I've been pregnant things have changed!
What have I cried about?
1.  Adam's beautiful, thought-felt card and flowers he brought me the day after I told him he would be a daddy.
2.  Oprah's Favorite Things Military Edition.
3.  Any dog commercial.
4.  Kidd Kraddick and his dang Christmas Wishes.

and last but not least...

5.  Being out of bread.  Yes I know, crazy, but when all you want in the whole-wide world is a sandwich, you're out of bread, and your pregnant...what do you do?  Cry.  Poor Adam had no idea what was happening.  But, like a good great husband he jumped in the car, got a loaf of bread and even brought these home.
I cannot say enough how great Adam has been.  Our child is so lucky to have him as a daddy!

Our little secret...

September 27, 2012…the day that our lives completely changed.  We found out we are having a baby!  (I know…get excited…I’ve got a belly!)  We are excited, thrilled…and scared.  Adam’s reaction when I told him just melted my heart.  He is my best friend and an amazing husband and I cannot wait to watch him be a daddy.
When are we due?  To quote my friend Kara, “Of course Heather has this timed out exactly”…we are due June 8, 2013…the day after school gets out.  The perfect due date for a teacher!
This will allow our little one to be about 3 months old before I have to go back to work.
I am so full of emotions right now.  Those of you that know me, know I am a control freak! And this I have NO control over!   My body is doing crazy things, and this is happening whether I have the nursery perfect and everything ready on time or not.
I think God everyday for this miracle.  I know He does not give us anything we cannot handle.  I constantly question…will I be a good mom, where are the instructions, and are we ready?
I’ve spent pretty much every waking moment since we found out on the internet “designing” the nursery, reading about the “peach” in my belly and look for that “parent handbook” (needless to say I haven’t found that)!  So in the time being I will continue to drink insane amounts of water (I miss my Dr. Pepper!), eat healthy and PRAY!
 So stay tuned...
