princess dance camp...

This being our first summer back in Waco we wanted to help Marley stay busy and get involved in the community.  We signed her up for Princess Dance Camp at Joy's School of Dance back in the spring and Marley has been so excited!
(She told me that she really didn't need to go to the classes - she could just do the performance!)
Last week she spent 2 hours a day learning "Princess Etiquette".  (I'll just say we all got schooled as well when she got home!) Everyday she got to dress as a different princess and learned dances, did crafts and learned important life lessons such as saying "I'm sorry", chewing with your mouth closed and how to properly curtsy.  It was really cute!  On Friday they had a little performance for the families and they were presented with their official Princess certificate.  Marley "fancied up" the dance at the end!
(She told me, "Mom, all those other girls had to watch the teacher, but I just knew what to do on my own!)

13 years...

On July 9, 2018 Adam and I celebrated our 13th anniversary.  We both agree that it doesn't feel as if we could have possibly been married that long, but at the same time it feels as if we have known each other forever.
We've lived in 5 cities and 2 apartments, owned 2 homes and we're building our third.  We met in Waco and never thought we'd be back and yet, here we are, and happy to be here.
We've brought a beautiful little girl into the world and I can't imagine what 13 more years will bring.
We went to one of our favorite mexican food places in Waco - Ninfa's, for dinner and watched the sun begin to set on the Suspension Bridge.
I wouldn't want to spend my life with anyone else!

1 month in...

Well we've made it 1 month in Waco and I'm pretty sure we've crammed as much as possible in that one month.  This is the first summer I haven't worked in some capacity and Marley and I have really enjoyed waking up and getting to do whatever we want with no real plan.
With met Paw Patrol's Skye and Marshal,

played with Ranger,

of course shopped Target...several times...,

 shopped through Spice Village,

visited the Mayborn Children's Museum,

gone swimming,

visited the Anatole while Adam was there for work,

started Mother's Day Out,

gone to swim lessons,

celebrated Father's Day,

visited friends in Weatherford,

eaten her first ice cream,

eaten more ice cream,

gotten a library card,

visited East Texas,

and last but not least, fireworks over the lake!

I'd say we utilized every minute of June for fun and can't wait to see what July holds for us!
