the spring break that never ends...

We are now on week FOUR of Spring Break!  Yes, this is the Spring Break that just won't end.  If you would have told me 4 weeks ago that we would not be returning to work and school for WEEKS after Spring Break, I would have told you that you were crazy!
Well, we are currently living a historic time in our history.  We are living amidst a deadly pandemic.  I would have never thought that in my lifetime we would be quarantined to our homes, by law, due to a deadly illness taking over the WORLD.  Literally, taking the world.  Coronavirus, or COVID 19, has literally taken over and there is no known cure, medicine, vaccine...this is just plain scary.  What has come of this?  We are all learning how to cope, how to spend time, quality time, with our families, teach 100% online, and what it's like to live during complete unknown.  People are fearful of losing their jobs, getting sick, not being able to be with loved ones in their last moments.  This is no joke.
I know we will come out the other side for the better in the long run.  Our families will grow stronger, our creativity will blossom and we will be much more appreciative of the things we take for granted on a daily basis.
But for now, we are living day to day and grateful for each one.
Here is a look of what the Cains have been up to from Spring Break until now...
New bike to start Spring Break!
The first few days of Spring Break we took Marley to Austin, stayed downtown, watched the bats fly out of Congress Street Bridge and visited the Natural Bridge Caverns in Georgetown.  It was so nice to just relax as a family and do something different!

Waiting for the bats!

The second half of Spring Break Adam and Marley went to East Texas to spend time with family.  They rode around the family deer camp and spent lots of time at the lake fishing!

Marley came home with this new guy...Shelly Turd.  Shelly for her shell and Turd short for turtle. ;)

Of course she suckered Pawpaw into ice cream.

Here's how we've entertained the last 3 weeks...
