Nine Months

Nine months has come so quickly!  Marley weighs 17lbs. and I cannot believe how LONG she is!  We are loving every minute more and more.  She is definitely quite the ham.  We are non-stop laughing at something she is doing.  She is keeping us very busy chasing her around the house!  She loves to dive off the couch into a forward roll, “surf” across the top of her piano, bounce as high as she can in her bouncy, climb through the jungle gym that is our dining table, hide behind the curtains, etc.

We wouldn’t trade her for the world!

Valentine's Day 2014...

Adam and I usually don’t do a lot for Valentine’s Day.  It’s just not a big deal to us, but this year we had fun with Marley for Valentine’s.

Adam had to work on Valentine’s so Lauren and Randall came down on Saturday so we could go out.

They really had a lot of fun with Marley and Adam and I enjoyed spending some time together.   We really had no plans so we headed to The Shops at Legacy because it was a beautiful day!  We walked around for a while and then decided to branch out and try something new.  We went to a new restaurant, Mexican Sugar.  It was ok…the food was good but the service was so so.  After dinner we walked around and made our way to Cold Stone for a little ice cream.  Adam even surprised me with a beautiful necklace with three love knots on it…one for him, one for Sammy and one for Marley!

Sick...

We get it...

Last weekend Marley was sick.  She started getting sick on Saturday night and we finally took her to the doctor Monday morning where we found out she had a double ear infection.  It just about killed Adam and I to see her sick.  If you’ve met our child you know that she DOES NOT like to be held or to cuddle!  Well, this weekend…that’s all she wanted to do and we LOVED every minute of it!   

(We just wish it wasn’t because she was sick.)  

But, now we get it when people say that they would take away their child’s pain if they could.  Either one of us would have gladly taken all her pain from her in a heartbeat. 

I ended up taking off Monday to take her to the doctor because Adam had to fly, but fortunately my mom was able to come down and keep her Tuesday.  We are so very lucky that although they are far away, our families are still here when we need them.

Sisters...

Adam and I have always hoped and dreamed that our child would one day get to know and love Sammy as we do.  Well, it’s happened!  At 12 Sammy finally became a big sister and really wasn’t too thrilled.  She has slowly become more tolerant of Marley and now Marley wants to be wherever she is!

The other day we got home from work/school and I let Sammy out and sat Marley on the floor to play while I unpacked her backpack and lunch box.  I looked up to see her crawling to the back door where she proceeded to sit and pat the door for Sammy to come in.   

Melt.My.Heart.

I love both my babies so much and I’m glad that they get to know each other and become “friends”.
