tree lighting...

We love that it has become a tradition for us to go with our life group to our church's annual Christmas tree lighting. We meet for tacos first and then go together to enjoy the cookies, pictures and music!  As the kids are getting older, every year becomes more and more eventful with all of their antics!

santa...

We made our trip to see Santa last week.  I kind of always wanted at least one picture of my child screaming in Santa's lap, but my child isn't going to give me that.  She was like a pro.  Before she even got to his lap she said, "I want a Barbie Camper!", jumped up and turned and cheesed for the camera.  Even Santa had to chuckle!  He said, "Well, you've done this before!"  He tried to carry on a conversation with her, but she was so fixated on smiling for the picture that she really wasn't interested in what he had to say.  Oh well...here's to the year of the fake smile...

4 1/2...

I know I've said this a million times, but Adam and I weren't sure all three of us were going to survive the first 3 months of Marley's life and yet here we are 4 1/2 years later.  My how time flies!  We could not be more proud of this spunky, funny, smart, beautiful little girl!

thanksgiving...

This year we were fortunate enough to see both sides of our families for Thanksgiving.  Luckily I had the entire week off so we got to spend the first half with Adam's family in East Texas.  We always have so much fun when we go there.  It is absolutely beautiful this time of year with all the trees...it "looked" like fall even if it didn't feel like it!  We spent time with all of his family and got to let Marley enjoy being a kid in the country:  chasing chickens, collecting eggs, riding in off-road vehicles, etc.  I'm so glad that she has such a fun place to spend with grandparents.

Adam had to leave Thanksgiving day so Marley and I headed to Waco for the second half of the week.  We had more gorgeous weather to enjoy and even spent some time at the park.
