Four months...

Tuesday, September 24, 2013 Marley turned 4 months old…I can’t believe it!

 Below is a few shots of what it takes to get 1 good picture at 4 months old!

At her appointment today she weighed 11 lbs. 6 oz. (30^th. percentile), and she is 24 3/4in. tall (75^th. percentile).   

So she gets tiny from mommy but height definitely from daddy!

She can hold her head up really well and loves to play with her rings.  She has also become VERY TALKATIVE!  She talks to her toys, to us and to anything that is in her eyesight…I think we might be in trouble in a few months!  Her feet have also become one of her favorite toys.  She’s been sleeping 8:30pm-6:15pm since about a month old and now goes back to sleep after she eights at 6:15 until 8 or 9…we got VERY lucky!   

(Too bad she still doesn’t like to nap!)

We LOVE her ladies that take care of her during the day (Miss Rhonda and Miss Zena)…they love her and take such good care of her.

What have we learned in the past 4 months…

1.  sleep is overrated

2.  we will never again be alone…(we were actually without Marley together for the first time since she was born and it was to go to The Dollar Store in Center, Texas…woohoo!)

3.  our baby cries…a lot…and we’re over it

4.  we love each other more now than before…

Happy Birthday Adam!

This Saturday was Adam’s 33^rd. birthday.  Unfortunately, he had to work all weekend, but Marley and I still tried to make it a great one for him!

We got to meet him at work for lunch on Saturday and then we made him a Strawberry Shortcake Cake and gave him some cards.   

We hope that he had a great day and knows how much he is loved and appreciated!

Quite the talent...

Well, we have discovered Marley’s first talent…she’s double jointed!   

Since birth we have noticed her right arm does some funky things…but recently it has become more and more obvious.  She can turn it completely upside-down flat where her elbow points upwards when she is laying down.  I’m pretty sure she knows this freaks us out because she loves to do it while you are changing her diaper and laughs the whole time.  Whenever I turn her arm back the right way she immediately does it again and kind of has this little smirk on her face.  

She’s definitely quite the ham!

Happy Birthday Sammy!

On Tuesday, September 11, Sammy turned 12.  On a day that brought so much sadness, such a blessing was born. I cannot explain the love she has brought to our family.  She was almost a year old when Adam and I started dating and we immediately became a family.  We cannot wait to see how her and Marley grow to love each other! 

We love you Sammy!

11 years...

11 years ago today I waited on Adam at Chili’s in Waco and he asked for my number.  Today we brought it full circle with Marley.  We always go to Chili’s and eat on this day to celebrate and it was extra special having Marley with us!  Who would have thought that on a whim Adam asked for my number and we’ve now been married for 8 years and have a beautiful baby girl!

Adam had even gone earlier today and left purple roses and a card for me at Chili’s that they brought to our table.  I am truly the luckiest girl ever!
