6 months...

Marley is 6 months old!

She is 27 inches tall and in the 90th. percentile for height!  WHAT?!  She weighs 14.4 lbs. and is in the 25th percentile for weight…tall and skinny!  (No wonder she still fits in 0-3 month clothes in the waist, but they’re quickly becoming high-waters!
Last Thanksgiving we told our families we were expecting, and here we are this year celebrating with a 6 month old!
Marley has become so much fun!  She is rolling and rolling and rolling!  She laughs and giggles and loves to play in her exersaucer and on her play mat.  Sammy has also become something really cool to watch.
Last week we began eating cereal and applesauce.  She LOVED it!  Adam couldn’t get it to her mouth fast enough!

We can’t wait to see what this little “turkey” has in store for us this next 6 months!

Marley's First Halloween - 2013

Marley’s first Halloween was fun, well interesting is a better word to describe it!
Marley and Sammy had a costume together...Sammy was “Thing 1” and Marley was “Thing 2”.

Then on Halloween Marley had a party at Miss Rhonda’s.  She was a cute little lady bug for school!

We even had to bring tator tots…I know…Marley doesn’t eat yet, but everyone had to bring something!
After school Adam and I couldn’t wait for Trick-or-Treaters to come and Marley to see all the kids dressed up.  We walked down the street to a little party that was going on and watched the kids walk up and down the street…then things got interesting!
We took Marley inside and put her in her exersaucer.  I looked down and noticed Marley was choking…I can’t explain the fear that ran through Adam and I.  We jumped up and grabbed her and she began crying…weakly.  We knew something still wasn’t right because then she began acting as if she couldn’t swallow.  Adam called Miss Rhonda (who keeps Marley everyday) and she was at our house in 3 minutes.  She grabbed Marley and immediately got her to calm down.  It seems that she had a tummy full of gas and a burp was stuck in her throat.  Rhonda stayed for over an hour until Marley was all better!  We loved Miss Rhonda before, but now I can’t explain the love and respect Adam and I both have for her!
Needless to say, Adam nor I slept very well…but at least Marley’s first Halloween will go down as quite memorable!
