easter...

 HE IS RISEN!

What a beautiful thing to celebrate!  One of my favorite times of the year is celebrating the resurrection with my family.  Today we were lucky enough to have everyone at church with us and then enjoyed a fantastic meal after.  We ate, hunted eggs and even had a surprise appearance by two unicorns!  (Mom is so proud of how we've turned out!)

bluebonnets...

Are you really a Texan if you don't take Bluebonnet pictures in the Spring?

mexico...

This year we got to take an amazing trip to Mexico for Spring Break!  (Marley was so excited to use her passport for the first time!).

We took a cruise from Galveston to Cozumel and Progresso, Mexico.  I love how much our little family of 3 enjoys being together and traveling and experiencing new things together!  We got really lucky to get a suite on the cruise with a balcony.  The room was amazing!

Within an hour of being on the boat, as we were getting to the pool, we heard someone holler, "Marley!"  we looked up to see her friend Halle from school and her mom Danielle!  Neither of us had any idea we were even going anywhere for Spring Break!  We spent the first day at sea exploring and enjoying the boat.

The first stop we made was in Cozumel.  We loved it!  The area around the port was just beautiful with cute little shops and beautiful foliage!  On this day we got to swim with dolphins!  Literally one of the coolest experiences ever!  We spent 45 minutes in the water with the dolphin and were able to pet them, hold them and even swim with one!  Something I don't think any of us will ever forget!  Then Marley and Adam snorkeled and got to see some beautiful fish and Marley was able to even feed some.  (I lasted for about 30 seconds, and then was out!).

The next day we woke up in Progresso.  Progresso was very different from Cozumel.  It was not commercialized at all.  We rode on a public bus to the bus terminal in town and then had to get a way to the beach.  (Marley decided right then and there she did not ever want to live in Mexico and we learned that "stop" signs were just suggestions!). We spent the day at the beach and loved every minute of it!  The sand and water was so clean and we found so many great seashells!

The next day was spent at sea again.  We enjoyed a comedy show, learned how to fold towel animals, played at the arcade, tried out the ropes course, played mini golf and of course enjoyed the pools!

We were also so fortunate to have great table mates at dinner each night!  There were 2 sisters and one of their daughters and they happened to be from Marlin!  Such a small world!  They were so nice and we loved getting to enjoy a meal and visit with them each night!

We are already planning our next vacation!
