finally celebrating 10 years...

This last weekend Adam and I got to finally celebrate our 10 years of marriage.  

We had a little "staycation" at The Highland in downtown Dallas.  It was a beautiful hotel and we just enjoyed the weekend with no real plans.  

We walked around at Mockingbird Station, found heaven in a cookie at Pokey O's and enjoyed a relaxing afternoon beside the pool.  

Friday night Adam made reservations at Knife and we had a wonderful meal.  

On Saturday Adam had gotten a couples massage for us at the hotel spa and it.was.amazing!

We had a great weekend and I cannot wait for another 10 years and more "staycations"!

swimming and celebrations...

This past weekend Marley and I went to Waco for the weekend.  We got to celebrate Aunt Lauren and Uncle Randall and their baby-on-the-way Ranger!

We also got to go swimming at Aunt Donna's house.  Marley loved it!  She is a fearless fish!  She has no fear of the water.  She jumped off the diving board numerous times, loved Uncle Randall splashing her and liked rolling on and off the "boat" aka float.

Then we got to eat with Grandmama and Grandpapa Nix, Uncle Robert, Aunt Alex and Madrid.  I LOVE that these to love being together!  I see a lifetime of memories between these two!

We love spending time with family!

july 4th weekend 2015...

This July 4th. weekend has been so much fun!  We started out by going to Cutter, where Adam works, to watch an airshow and fireworks.  We sat out on the ramp and enjoyed yummy BBQ and watched the airshow.  Marley loved it!  She was very concerned by the airplanes that were flying upside-down and towards the ground.  We had bought her some headphones to wear, but the noise didn't seem to bother her.  We got to see our friend Monty and she really had fun with him.  He even got her some glow-in-the-dark necklaces!  They even had two bounce houses to enjoy!

Then on Saturday night we went to our friends Betsy and Eric's house for a fun BBQ and playtime!  We had so much fun!  They had a little pool and a bounce house and to say Marley had a blast is an understatement!  She LOVED playing with "Cowie" aka Callie and "Kitten" aka Kipton!
