Smiles...

I am normally the one that wakes Marley up every morning and this is my favorite time of the day.  I LOVE that she always wakes up with a smile on her face and is so happy! 

It makes my day!

This weekend Adam got up with Marley and let me sleep in for a little bit.  (Thank you Adam!)  When I woke up and went into the living room Marley and Adam were playing.  When I leaned over and said, “Good Morning!” to Marley a HUGE smile came across her face.  I melted!  I could not have been happier than I was that very moment. 

I cannot wait to watch her grow up and see all the things that make her smile!

 

 

2 months...

2 Months…I cannot believe that Marley is 2 months old!

 

She is smiling and laughing and working really hard at holding her head up!  She sleeps great at night, but naps are a whole other story!

We went for her check up this morning and she did very well considering she had to get 4 shots! 

She weighs 8lbs. 12ozs. (10^th. percentile) and her height is 21 ½ inches (25^th. percentile).

 

8 wonderful years...

8 years…I cannot believe that I’ve been able to spend the past 8 years married to this amazing man.

We were so lucky this year to have Aunt Lauren come down to watch Marley so we could go out to eat for dinner.  Needless to say we just couldn't stay away from Marley that long so we just enjoyed a nice dinner at Cheesecake Factory and headed back home to our baby girl. 

We have moved 4 times, loved a lot, laughed a lot and now have a beautiful baby girl. 

What more could I ask for?

I thank God everyday for bringing this amazing man into my life.  I love his dedication to his family, his work ethic and now him as a father.  I never thought I could love someone as much as I love him and that love grows every day.

Adam, you are my best friend and now the best parenting partner I could ask for.

Look at my new shoes...

Look at my new shoes!

Last week when we were in Carthage I made Adam stop by this adorable baby boutique, Mulberry Bush.  Of course they had the cutest stuff, but naturally I was drawn to the baby shoes!  Marley is still too small for all her cute shoes she already has (yes, there are probably a dozen or so pair in her closet already!), but I found the most adorable crocheted sandals that fit her perfectly!  I instantly told Adam we HAD to have these for Marley.  He didn’t really agree but after a lot of convincing we left with these…

Adam has no idea what’s to come in the years to come and let’s just keep that between you and me for now! 

A beautiful smile...

This made my day! 

Every morning I look at this smiling, happy face and my heart just melts. 

I read somewhere before I became a mom that being a parent is like having your heart walk around outside your body.

I get it now.

When she cries, I want to cry…when her tummy hurts, my tummy hurts and I can’t imagine letting her do things that my parents let me do…like ever leave the house!

I think the Lord everyday for my beautiful, healthy baby.  (I try to thank Him for her healthy lungs as she screams and cries through EVERY nap!)

Marley's visit to East Texas...

This past weekend we were able to take Marley to Carthage to meet all of Adam’s family and introduce her to the lake!

 
Once again she did great in the car!  (I wish she slept that well at home!) 

She got to meet Adam’s grandparents, aunts and uncles and cousins.  I’m pretty sure she was carried around, held and fought over all weekend!

We spent the weekend at the lake.  We cannot wait to come back as she gets older and get to take her swimming and fishing!

A busy week...

Last Wednesday we went for Marley’s 1 month appointment.  She did great!  Adam had to work so Grammy came down and went with us. 

Marley weighed 7lbs. 8oz., she had gained a whole pound since birth!  She is in the 25%tile.

Then we went to Waco to spend the rest of the week while daddy worked.

Marley found a new best friend, Uncle Randall. 

 

Then on Saturday Adam came down and went drove to Austin for a wedding.  Marley did great until around 9:00 and by this picture you can tell she was done!
