The Big Orange Pumpkin Farm...

Today we went to The Big Orange Pumpkin Farm in Celina, about 30 minutes from our house.  It was an absolutely perfect fall day!  (We got lucky considering there's only about 1 1/2 fall days in Texas.)
Marley LOVED it!  We saw cows, longhorns, goats, and sheep.  According to Marley they were all "doggies".  She was scared at all until one of the "doggies" baaa-ed at her then she decided she'd stand a little farther back.
We went on a hayride, walked through and hay bale maze, feed a lot of animals, took lots of pictures, at hot dogs and picked out a pumpkin!
Of course Marley wanted the biggest pumpkin but we convinced her to get one more her size!

15 months...

On August 24, 2014 Marley was 15 months old.  We went to the doctor today and here are her stats...
Height:  31 3/4in.  (85th percentile)
Weight:  20lbs. 7 oz. (15th percentile)
Head:  18 3/4in. (90th percentile)

I have to say she makes me smile every single day!  (I mean I might have cried too, but that's another story!)  She is walking and running everywhere and talking up a storm!  She can say mama, dada, Sassy, Sammy, no, doggie, thank you, uh oh, baby, ball, shoes and I'm sure I'm forgetting a few others.  She can bark like a dog, moo like a cow, roar like a lion, and quack like a duck.  She can point to her nose and eyes.  She has NO fear!  She doesn't need your help to do anything!  She doesn't need a floatie at the pool or one of us to hold her...so she thinks.  You cannot show her how to do anything.  She's totally going to be saying, "I do it!", very soon I fear!  You cannot remove her shoes or she gets really ticked and has to carry them around everywhere she goes.
(Watch out Adam...she may have gotten the shoe bug from mom!)
Her favorite toys right now are her books, her favorite food is probably still bananas, and we're still obsessed with Minnie!
I have to say that 90% of the things she has learned are completely attributed to the amazing ladies that keep her everyday while we work.  We could not be more grateful to Miss Zina and Miss Rhonda!

first haircut...

August 4, 2014...Marley got her first haircut!
Her hair isn't really that long but it is very uneven so we thought we'd get a haircut while Adam was still in town to go with us.  We went to this really cute place in Frisco called Sharky's.  I'm not going to lie; I was VERY nervous because we are also cutting 3 teeth simultaneously so we haven't been in the best of moods.  We walked in and she got to pick out a car to sit in.  (She picked out the red race car...whatever.)  She was so good!  They put the tiniest little pink cape on her and she "drove" her car while they trimmed her up.  They took a before and after picture and even gave her a little certificate with a lock of her hair.

Let's just hope that the second cut is as peaceful as the first!
