easter 2019...

Of course you can't have an Easter season in Texas with bluebonnet pics and a picture with the Easter bunny!

This year Marley was fortunate enough to get to have an Easter egg hunt at her school.  I am still in awe of how lucky we are to have the opportunity for her to still enjoy the fun things about school in this small town atmosphere!

On Friday we got to have Grammy, Aunt Lauren, Ranger and Brice over to dye Easter eggs.  We tried a few new ways...rice and food coloring and shaving cream with food coloring and it worked out surprisingly well!

And of course we had time to play!

Next we went to the Robinson Easter Egg Hunt at Peplow Park and got to meet our sweet friends.

On Saturday morning and tried to be that "pinterest mom" and make bunny cinnamon rolls for breakfast and I'm going to admit I'm pretty proud!

Marley's contribution to Easter lunch were these adorable basket cookies!  She did a great job!

This year we actually got to finally have our family over to our new home for Easter!  We started the day at a wonderful Easter service at our church and then had family over for lunch and egg hunt!

Easter Sunday!

charlie rose...

Meet our newest member of the Cain family...Charlie Rose...
We could not be more in love!  She was born on February 10, 2019 and joined our family about 2 weeks ago.  She is a red and white merle border collie.
Boy had I forgotten about the puppy stage!  Everyone says its like having a baby...WRONG!  A baby is still on the rug when you get back from the bathroom, they wear diapers, and the don't have sharp razor-like teeth!  But nevertheless we love her!  She has quickly become Marley's best friend!

537 perry lane...

It finally happened!  We moved into our dream home here in Robinson about 3 weeks ago.  It was the longest 9 months of my life...yes, beating out 9 months of pregnancy!  I will NEVER...mark my words...NEVER move again!  The building process was rough to say the least, but in the end we have our dream home and couldn't be happier.  We are loving having our own place again, and we are really loving having a nice big yard to enjoy in this beautiful spring weather!  The 5 minute commute to work isn't that bad either!
We cannot wait for you to come visit!

daddy-daughter date valentine's date...

Adam will be gone for Valentine's Day so he decided to take Marley on a date.  The Chili's near us had set up a special night for daddy's and daughters so it was perfect!  Marley could not wait for her "date" with daddy!  He had bought her flowers and of course they had to go on the date with them.
In true girl fashion she had picked out her dress and jewelry and debated over two different purses to take.
I love that she has a daddy that is showing her what she should expect from a man in her life and showing her how she should be treated.  I hope and pray that one day she will be so lucky to find a man like Adam.
