nine years old...

NINE…This girl has kept us on our toes since before she was born. Her witty since of humor and that giggle will make anyone smile! Her creativity and imagination will change the world one day. And her fierce love for her friends and the Lord shine through for all to see.

Happy Birthday Marley Scout!

On Sunday before Marley's birthday she requested Rudy's brisket with Grammy, Pops, Aunt Lauren, Uncle Randall, Ranger and Brice.

Adam took the day off on her birthday to be home so we surprised her with a camp trunk for Pine Cove painted by our sweet neighbor Shelby.

Grammy, Pops and Daddy got to eat lunch with her at school for her birthday too!

I love that her teacher does this! Her sweet classmates describe them on their birthdays! What a great memory!

mother's day...

 For the first time in years Adam was home this Mother's Day and it was so nice to spend it as a family.  Marley always takes me to lunch on Mother's Day, but this year we ended up with a quick trip to Ft. Worth for the weekend.

We were able to schedule Marley's 9 year old pictures with our dear photographer Bobbi on Saturday night in downtown Ft. Worth so we thought we'd just make a weekend of it.  We stayed in a beautiful hotel downtown that happened to be the hotel JFK spent his last night in.  Marley loves history so she was fascinated with that.  We walked to Cheesecake Factory for dinner on Saturday and then after our pictures we walked around Sundance Square some more and found a great little ice cream shop.  It was the absolute perfect way to spend Mother's Day - with my 2 favorite people in the world!
