valentine's day...

 Valentine's was just the girls this year, but we still made the best of it!  Before Adam left he helped put together the most epic Starbucks Cup Valentine's "Box".  On Valentine's I set up Marley's scavenger hunt full of treats to start the morning.  I'm pretty sure this is one of the most looked forward to things all year for Marley and I love that it has become tradition!  And of course we celebrated our love for sweet Charlie too!

charlie is 5...

 Happy Birthday to our sweet Charlie!  She is 5!  She is easy to celebrate and is happy with anything that includes Marley!

She got a Pup Cup at Starbucks and then a sPAW day!

daddy-daughter dance...

 I am so glad that Adam loves Marley as much as he does!  This year we were lucky enough to have him home for the daddy-daughter dance again.  Marley picked out the perfect dress, a combo of Barbie and her beloved Dolly, when we went shopping with Brice.  Kristen did another fantastic job on her hair giving her that perfect rocker look!

This year they went to eat at La Fiesta with the usual group (the Hockaday's, McCall's and Hughes').  

I think it's safe to say that had a fantastic time!

flight inbound...

 Marley finally got to see Adam at work!  On January 2nd Adam happened to making a fuel stop in Waco between Phoenix and Orlando.  Marley, Pops and I were able to make it out there just in time to see him land and even got to get a quick hug before he left again.

lady bears & the foster pavilion...

 Marley and I were lucky enough to be a part of history on January 3, 2024!  We got to attend the first Lady Bears Basketball game at the new Foster Pavilion on the river.  We had the absolute best time!  The played TCU and won 71-50.  The Foster Pavilion is absolutely beautiful!  We of coursed enjoyed the concessions and looking around and all the "newness".  We even left with a commemorative coin to mark the occasion!  I love getting to experience things like this and create memories with my best girl!

 Marley just said, "Do they only pick guys that can't hear to report on the Super Bowl?"

I had to explain those were not hearing aids but to hear producers talking to them...

Marley: “You don’t look old, you just ARE old!”

Tonight I was studying for a social studies test with Marley…

Me: “What’s a locomotive?”

Marley: “A market where you buy things!”

Me: “What’s a junction?”

Marley: “Well if I didn’t know what a locomotive was a sure don’t know what a junction is!”

Me: "Marley I love your card you got me!"

Marley: "Good it was the only one left in the store."

Marley: “Lilly had the same “yacht smay” shirt on today that you have!”

Me: “What?! You mean Yosemite?”

Marley: “No! “Yacht smay”!

Me: “Marley that is not how you say that! It’s Yosemite!”

Marley: “Well that just sounds dumb!”

Marley: “Mom hurry come look! Genevieve cricket is on the window!”

Me: “You mean Jiminy cricket?”

We were at the live nativity last night and guy came and gave us the invite to Christmas Eve service and said it was a coupon for the drawing at 8 to see who takes home the live camels. We drive off and Marley says...is he for real?!

new years eve...

 I wouldn't have wanted to spend New Year's Eve 2023 with any other people!  Adam was away for work so Marley and I spent the day with Lauren, Randall, Ranger, Brice and mom and dad.  We ate great food, played games and laughed.  What a way to end the year and ring in 2024!
