Marley keeps us on our toes and entertained DAILY...so here are a few of her best quotes from 2018.

Me: "Marley you need to pick up some of these toys."

Marley: "Um don't call me Marley!  My name is Princess Aurora...and servants are supposed to know."

On our way to church...

Me:  "Marley you look cute!"

As we were practicing Marley's sight words tonight I put her new word "or" in a sentence.

Me: "We can go to Target OR Walmart."

Marley: "You can get EVERYTHING at Target!"

Marley: "I scratched my arm today at school."

Me: "Oh I'm sorry! That happens sometimes."

Marley: "Don't worry Kristen knew exactly what to do!  She put a little mouth slobber on it...her mouth slobber."

Me: "Did it work?"

Marley: "Yes! She know EVERYTHING!"

In the car on the way home earlier Marley dropped her toy...

Marley: "Dad stop the car real quick so I can get my toy!"

Adam: "We'll be home in 2 minutes. I'm not stopping the car."

Marley: "Look killer, stop the car so I can get my toy!"

As we're listening to Red Hot Chili Peppers Marley hollers, "Turn it up so I can sing it better!"

"Hey can one of ya'll fetch me a piece of water?"

Marley painted a really pretty picture the other day and wanted to give it to a friend...

Me: "Marley can I please keep it?! I love it and want to keep it forever!"

Marley (completely deadpan): "You can't keep anything forever.  You're about to be up under a stone soon anyway."

Of course we can't leave out Chipie our elf!  He did come to visit again this year and of course brought his traditional PJs the first night!

christmas 2018...

Christmas has always been one of my favorite times of the year, but with a child...it's just simply the best!

Marley was so excited to have her Christmas Party at school and I'm so thankful to be back in a place where you can actually recognize Christmas at school!  Grandma got to go to her party since I was at work and Adam was out of town.  Every class also decorates a wooden reindeer to be placed at Peplow Park for the Christmas season!

One of Marley's sweet friends invited us over for a Christmas movie and crafts.  It is so fun to get to know her classmates and their parents.  I definitely feel like I can see years of these girls giggling together!

This year Marley asked Santa for a Puppy Surprise and Pikmi Pops (yep, we had no idea what those were so they required a little research!).  Of course he always brings her a book and "Christmas" chips.  

Pawpaw and Grammy Carol came down before Christmas and we got to show them our new house and even open presents there.  It was nice to start to envision it as our "home".

Adam had to leave again this year on Christmas day so we got celebrate a day early. We checked out the Great Christmas Light Fight Winner here in Waco, fed the reindeer and left cookies, carrots (and ranch of course) and milk for Santa and his reindeer.

 We enjoyed a great Christmas Eve service at our church and then spent time with family.
