I know it's so cliche but Christmas is truly so much more fun through the eyes of a child. Every year so far has gotten better and better as Marley "understands" Christmas a little more. Even though Adam had to leave Christmas Day this year, we were actually very lucky that we got to have plenty of time as our little family of 3 and even got to see both sides of grandparents.
We even got to begin a few traditions of our own.
Of course our December started with the arrival of Marley's Elf "Chipie"! Here's 23 days of Chipie...
Chipie always arrives with PJs for Marley and baby. |
Chipie had a little "accident". |
We even had a first for us of hopefully many to come every year...Gingerbread house making!
This year Adam wasn't able to make our church Christmas Tree lighting, but Marley and I went with our sweet friends and had a blast!

As we do every year we went to my parents on Christmas Eve Eve to celebrate. I love seeing Marley with all her cousins. They are absolutely the most adorable!
On Christmas Eve we had Santa at our house. This year Marley had asked for a Barbie Camper and her red and green chips. Santa came through... Mom and dad on the other hand may have gone a little overboard!
Adam's "thrilled" to be building all this stuff! |
We ended our "Christmas" with Christmas Eve service at church making sure that we all remembered the real reason for the season!
Christmas Day Adam had to leave and go to work and Marley and I got plenty of time to veg out and play with ALL her toys. After Adam got back we were finally able to visit his family for Christmas! It happened to be my birthday and lucky for me the didn't forget! Again, we had so much fun enjoying great food and games with the whole family!
Happy Birthday to me! |
