Christmas is always such a wonderful time of year, but this year was made even more special by Adam being here Christmas day! It's been over 5 years since he's been home on Christmas. We've enjoyed all the things Christmas to the full extent this year from the neighborhood cocoa stroll, school parties, Gingerbread houses, to drive-thru lights and our favorite - Christmas Eve service at church.
On Christmas Eve-Eve we had Aunt Alex, Uncle Robert, Madrid, Margie, Moxie and dad over for traditional cookie decorating and dinner.
Then Christmas Eve we went to church and enjoyed Christmas presents with Aunt Lauren and her family and Grammy and Pops.
Since Adam was home this year we actually got to have Santa come on Christmas morning. Santa brought a back-handspring barrel, lounge pillow and of course the traditional "Santa chips", and then we hoped in the car and drove to East Texas. We loved getting to join in on the Cain Family tradition of Christmas lunch at Grandaddy's. Marley hasn't been in so long that she was too young to remember. We then got to have Christmas dinner at Adam's mom's house with family again.
These are memories we hope that Marley cherishes forever as we will.
