Father's Day 2014...

Father’s Day 2014
Marley is so very lucky to have the best daddy in the world.  He loves everything she does and cares for her so very much.  He is everything I could ask for in a dad for my daughter.  He is compassionate, caring, loving, funny and selfless.  I hope that she grows up to see that he is an example of the man she will one day want to marry.
She LOVES her daddy!
I think it is safe to say that we all had fun today.  We went to church where Marley made it 30 minutes in the church nursery (this is a record for us).  Then we played at the house (Marley was especially giggly today), grilled fajitas and made homemade ice cream and strawberry cake.  After dinner we all went swimming (something Adam and Marley LOVE to do)!

Last year for Father’s Day Marley bought her daddy an ice cream maker in hopes to continue the tradition that Adam so very fondly remembered of making ice cream with his Granddaddy Cain.
Last Father's Day - Marley was 2 weeks old.
This year we tried it again and I’d say it was a success.

Father's Day 2014 - Wow how she has changed!

Marley's 1st. Birthday!

Wow does time fly?!  I was pretty sure I would never make it through the first 3 months of Marley’s life and here we are a year later!  I know its so cliché, but I cannot believe it’s been a year!
Marley has changed our lives for the better and in ways we never imagined.  She makes us laugh on a daily basis and want to cry at the same time.  She is definitely FULL of personality and her face says it all!  She is constantly on the move and never slows down.  She is crawling everywhere and walking along all the furniture and with all her toys.  She says, “hi”, “dog”, “Ammy” for Sammy, “momma”, “dada” and even sings, “Old MacDonald” or as she says “e-i-e-i-e” and sings the Barney theme song…hers goes a little like this, “you love me, you love you…”
It just melts my heart!
We had to delay her birthday party a day so that Adam could get back from his training.  We invited family over and I’m pretty sure she enjoyed herself.  She got lots of fun stuff and is enjoying ALL of it in my living room…all at the same time. ;)
Here is a peek into her day!

Mother's Day 2014

My first official Mother’s Day…
I can’t believe I’m actually a “part” of Mother’s Day.
It kind of feels really weird.  I know it sounds crazy, but I forget I’m a mom.  I am very aware Marley is my daughter, but I forget that makes me “the mom”.
Adam is still gone for training, but he still sent me a beautiful bouquet of roses and a really sweet card.  I know it’s just as hard on him to be gone as it is me to be here by myself.

Luckily my mom came down again this weekend because Saturday night we had Marley’s first birthday pictures.  (I can’t wait to see them!)
Then on Sunday mom, Marley and I went to La Madeline for lunch.  I am really loving spending today with my beautiful baby girl!
