mother's day...

Today was a day filled of fun and firsts for Marley and I.  Unfortunately Adam had to leave for work today so we made the best of it...just the two of us.
Right away Marley reminded me that just like any other day...I'm just the mom.
It started with breakfast that she "wasn't hungry for", yet the minute I sat down to eat what I had made for myself she proceeded to eat it all.
We went to church and, as always, enjoyed a wonderful service with dearest friends.  As the service was over they gave each mom a bundt cake...which was quickly taken over and eaten by my child.  2 for 2 at this point...

We got home and I fixed Marley and I some lunch....she quickly ate hers...and then mine.
3 for 3...

Then we spent the rest of the afternoon doing some of our favorite things and even a few "firsts".
We went to the JCPenney Headquarters, our favorite place to picnic and watch the ducks.

Then of course we hit up Target to get our "ingredients" for our next projects.  Adam and I had realized on Saturday that Marley has never experienced Jello or pudding (considering our child just started eating some sweets, by choice, this isn't that strange).  We got some pudding, jello and muffin mix (Marley's request) and headed home.  We made our Jello and pudding which she is super bummed we have to wait to eat until they are "ready" tomorrow and baked our muffins.
She then insisted that she wanted to take me to Red Lobster...I'm pretty sure due to a commercial she had just seen.  When asked if she was paying her response was, "What?!  No!  I don't have a budget, I'm not an adult yet."
Yes Marley, you are correct you sure don't have a budget and I am reminded daily of this...

This sweet, spunky little girl that made me a mommy also makes me the happiest person ever.  I still want to cry and laugh at least once everyday by the things you say and do but you know how to keep life entertaining and make sure that I take in every single moment.

I LOVE YOU!
