5 years old...

May 24, 2018...Marley's 5th Birthday!
This was the first year that both Adam and I were able to spend the day with Marley doing whatever her heart desired.  We started with surprise cinnamon rolls for breakfast with a candle.  Needless to say Marley was very surprised and seemed to love the idea, but politely declined it. "That was so sweet you guys! No can I have some cereal instead?"

Seriously kid?!  Who turns down a cinnamon roll?!
Next we continued our birthday tradition by going to American Girl.  This was Adam's first visit and I had tried my best to prepare him, but let's be real...can you really "prepare" for that?!  Marley new what she wanted this time and even suckered her daddy into a complete beauty shop set as well.  (As he told her, "Kid, be glad there's just one of you or this wouldn't be happening!")

We ate lunch in the cafe, which she loved having her new baby right by her.  The cupcake at the end...well the picture says it all.

From there we went to Reunion Tower...a place she's been begging to go to since she could talk.  It was the perfect day, perfect weather and not busy at all.  She loved running around and trying to spot new things.

When we got back home she got her other gift from Adam and I, her new "big girl" bike!  She did great riding around the neighborhood and even made her way to the park and back with her new doll in tow.

Of course it was only fitting to end the night with .50cent corn dogs from Sonic...those same corn dogs that 5 years ago today helped bring her into this world!
